My name is Danielle and I am the founder of 'The Natural Root', a small, local skincare business located beside Lough Neagh.

Our beautiful country and local nature inspires a lot of the products that we make for our customers. We also change our products with the seasons, ensuring the products are targeted to the changes in our skin when the weather changes.

Our products are tailored to your lifestyles and the ever changing conditions of Ireland.

In our shampoo bars we use organic seaweed powder from Connemara, a small family business has harvested the seaweed of the shores of the Connemara coast for generations, to avail of the powerful healing and antioxidant properties of this amazing ingredient.

Even out on walks through our beautiful forests or along the beach, plants will inspire what we work with next, our last adventure led me to think about the dandelion and the abundance of the fantastic plant that people call a weed. 

This flower is what bees flock to, to get their nutrition and it has fantastic soothing properties for the skin, Ireland's version of the calendula flower. 

We make all our products in a small lab by hand, using the best organic and natural ingredients available to improve skin health, repair damage from skin conditions and from our environment.

Our high end skincare products are available in healthcare shops, hairdressers and some local spas. You can also find us around Northern Ireland at many of the local artisan markets year round or here online.

The products available range from deodorants, face and body moisturisers, luxury facial serums to shampoo bars.

All our products are pH balanced to ensure each and every product used is gentle and soothing to the skin. Our products promote the skins natural oil production, enhance the skins natural protection from the environment and other factors that can stress the skin.

One of the things that is extremely important to us is our impact on the environment, this is why all our packaging is either biodegradable cardboard, aluminium or glass. The aluminium and glass can be reused by customers or brought back to us to be refilled. Even our bags and gift boxes are recyclable or biodegradable to ensure we leave as little a footprint as we possibly can, and hopefully, through the way we work we inspire our customers to look at ways they can reduce the impact we have on our planet.
